Trauma Informed Care Training - Afternoon Session

Free Arts staff will be taking part in a Trauma Informed Care Training through the Arizona Trauma Institute. We have a few spots available for partner agency staff to join us. Trauma Informed Care

This training will educate workers on how to build a relationship with children who have experienced trauma. It will introduce what behaviors might be displayed when a child feels safe compared to unsafe. An elaboration and normalization of what is happening in the brain during times of stress will be explained. Increased awareness of individual triggers and conflict resolution styles will be explored. Participants will develop a toolkit of activities and skills encouraging prioritization of focus on creating felt safety.
